We were founded in 1987 and originally based in West London before relocating to our current 15,000 sq. ft. facility in the Cotswolds. Since the company relocation in 1995, it has formed a strategic alliance with a large manufacturing and purchasing facility based in the Far East. This alliance has enabled us to focus attention on further growth objectives, by targeting the more volume orientated entry-level and mid-range hi-fi and multi-channel home theatre markets.

The company was created out of a research project of two audio professionals, to create a miniature loudspeaker capable of outperforming a system many times its size. The result, released some four years later, was a micro monitor of unsurpassed technical and musical excellence called Xen. Initially launched to great acclaim in the professional arena, Xen soon started to attract a strong following from audiophiles. The first review of Xen in Sound-On-Sound magazine, rated it as the best miniature speaker ever tested by the reviewer. Due to its diminutive dimensions and stunning performance, Xen also proved popular with home theatre enthusiasts, prompting the company to develop the SPLX subwoofers.

We were founded in 1977 by a senior BBC Research Engineer and the engineering knowledge of two generations is encapsulated in every loudspeaker. Owning our speakers brings you into far more intimate contact with the music - no other speaker brings you a more lifelike experience. Our sound flows from the unique blend of traditional but expensive construction techniques and the advanced high-technology UK-made RADIAL drive units. Our thin wall BBC style cabinets may look deceptively simple but are by far the most complicated to manufacture: think not of a rigid box, but of five critically damped and tuned panel sub-systems brought together regardless of cost or complexity.
